ONE Championship has a strong connection with the Lee family; Angela and Christian Lee, both siblings, have won titles in the promotion at a young age. Adrian Lee, the latest family member to join ONE Championship at 18 years old, had a successful start with a submission victory in June.

Chatri Sityodtong, the CEO of ONE, carefully thought about adding Adrian to the roster following the sad passing of Victoria Lee in December 2022. Even though Angela and Christian praised Adrian as the most talented in the family, Sityodtong signed him cautiously considering the family’s history.

The Lee family shares a special bond with Sityodtong, who was deeply moved by Victoria’s loss. Initially hesitant about Angela and Christian’s return to the ring after the tragedy, Sityodtong was impressed by their courage. While Angela retired from fighting, Christian remains a titleholder in ONE Championship and is gearing up for his return in November.

Christian delayed his comeback to focus on supporting Adrian’s debut fight in June. Adrian’s second bout is already planned for September in Denver. Sityodtong is confident that Christian’s return will attract more interest to the division, with a lightweight title defense scheduled for November 8 in Atlanta.
