Marlon Vera was disappointed with his performance against Deiveson Figueiredo at UFC Abu Dhabi. He acknowledged that he might have come back to the octagon too soon after his defeat to Sean O’Malley in March. Vera admitted on Instagram that he should have taken more time to recover and regroup after his recent fights.

While Vera had some successful moments in the fight, he struggled to generate enough offense to beat Figueiredo. The UFC broadcast team pointed out that Vera felt pressured to start strong because of the shorter three-round fight format. Historically, Vera has had a slow start in fights but has shown the ability to get stronger as the match progresses.

However, in this particular bout, Vera couldn’t shift into a higher gear and fell short in the end.
