In a swift and powerful victory, super middleweight Christian Mbilli defeated Mark Heffron with a devastating left hook to the body, which ended the fight just 40 seconds into the first round at Centre Gervais Auto in Shawinigan, Quebec, Canada.
Mbilli, who boasts a record of 27 wins with 23 knockouts and holds the No. 2 spot at 168 pounds by The Ring, made quick work of Heffron, whose record now stands at 30 wins, 4 losses, and 1 draw, with 23 knockouts. The brutal body shot rendered Heffron unable to continue, setting the stage for Mbilli to face former three-time middleweight title challenger Sergiy Derevyanchenko in Quebec City on August 17.
Among other fights on the card, heavyweight Arslanbek Makhmudov bounced back from his first career loss with a second-round knockout victory over Miljan Rovcanin, while Mehmet Unal achieved a rare feat by being the first to stop Rodolfo Gomez Jr. in the ring.
Wilkens Mathieu, Moreno Fendero, and Christopher Guerrero also emerged victorious in their respective bouts, and Alexandre Gaumont secured a split decision win against Santiago Fernandez.
Rising lightweight prospect Jhon Orobio showcased his skills by going the distance against Alexis Camejo for the first time and earned a shutout victory.
