After the heartbreaking loss of his young son in April, Francis Ngannou has resumed his training at Xtreme Couture, indicating a step towards moving forward. While he has not publicly discussed his sporting future, Ngannou is still associated with PFL and is considering options in boxing. His Coach, Eric Nicksick, highlighted that getting back to training has been a positive outlet for Ngannou in his journey of healing.

Nicksick clarified that there is no rush for Ngannou to return to competition, but the fighter is driven by a desire to honor his son by stepping back into the ring. Both boxing and MMA opportunities are available for Ngannou, and it is hoped that he will make a comeback before 2024 ends.

Amid the uncertainty surrounding Ngannou’s next fight, Nicksick stands firmly behind Ngannou’s choices. He stresses the significance of keeping Ngannou engaged and finding motivation in competing once more, all the while acknowledging the time it takes to heal from a tremendous loss.
