Cody Garbrandt revealed that he encountered symptoms of dizziness while battling former flyweight champion Deiveson Figueiredo at UFC 300.

“No Love” returned to the Octagon after securing back-to-back victories, aiming for a third win but was faced with a strong challenge from Figueiredo. Despite a promising start for Garbrandt, Figueiredo gained control on the ground and eventually secured a victory with a rear-naked choke in the second round.

Garbrandt took to social media on Tuesday to share that he experienced dizziness during the fight, a long-standing issue he has grappled with for over a decade.

“I was feeling pretty good until I started feeling dizzy,” Garbrandt expressed. I wrote a message to X. “Once I hit the ground, I couldn’t control my rotation. Hats off to Dibson and his camp! I ended up going to the hospital, but I still felt dizzy and vomited until 4am.

“I need this fixed. I’ve been battling vertigo since 2012. Thank you to the fans who came out to support me. It wasn’t my night, but I’m going to do my job.” I love it and plan to go back there before the year is out.”
