Full Card Revealed For ONE Friday Fights 91 On December 13

The year may be winding to a close, but the world’s largest martial arts organization is keeping the momentum going with another festival of fisticuffs in Asia primetime this Friday, December 13.

ONE Friday Fights 91 will showcase a dozen matchups across Muay Thai and MMA at Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand, as rising stars look to impress and earn a spot on ONE’s global roster with a contract worth US$100,000.

In the headline attraction, a combustible 140-pound catchweight Muay Thai tussle is set to go down between scrappy Thai sensation Komawut FA Group and relentless Russian striker Alexey Balyko.

In only five ONE bouts, Balyko has become a must-see fighter whenever he sets foot in the ring. He’s scored two highlight-reel knockouts in three victories, showcasing his explosive firepower. But the 31-year-old fell short against Brazilian superstar John Lineker in October, so he’ll be motivated to bounce back with a statement win.

Meanwhile, Komawut has established himself as a true threat to all comers across seven action-packed outings at ONE Friday Fights. He’s put together an impressive 5-2 record at the weekly Asia primetime event series and is coming off a hard-fought victory over Siwakorn PK Saenchai at ONE Friday Fights 78 in September.

In the penultimate bout of the night, Petwichit Singha Mawynn will meet Sonrak Fairtex in what is expected to be a thrilling 139-pound catchweight Muay Thai encounter. Petwichit got his year off to a great start with a victory in January. The Thai fighter has since come up short in his last two outings, but he knows a huge performance against Sonrak would do wonders for his fortunes.

However, Sonrak’s never-say-die attitude has made him a combatant that fans refuse to rule out of any fight. The Myanmar native has won his last three outings in convincing fashion, and making it four in a row would bolster his chances of earning a coveted contract.

Earlier in the evening, 20-year-old British phenom Freddie Haggerty will look to keep his devastating run intact when he meets the uber-durable Kaoklai Chor Hapayak in strawweight Muay Thai action. Following in the footsteps of his older brother and multiple-time ONE World Champion Jonathan Haggerty, the younger Haggerty has put his division on notice with back-to-back knockouts – but Kaoklai will provide his toughest test yet.

You only have to take one look at Kaoklai to know he’s no stranger to a war. The Thai striker marches forward relentlessly, scoring three knockouts so far at ONE Friday Fights. The 26-year-old is more than happy to take a punch to give one, and that makes him a dangerous adversary for the British upstart.

Two strawweight MMA bouts will open the show, as Korea’s Lee Seung Chul locks horns with unbeaten Vietnam competitor Pham Van Nam, while debutants Yu Gao and Zemfira Alieva vie for their first victories in the weekly series.

Check out the full card below before the action begins this Friday at 7:30 a.m. ET/4:30 a.m. PT.
