Conor McGregor is eager to make a comeback in December 2024, going against UFC CEO Dana White’s earlier suggestion that he wouldn’t return until 2025. McGregor made his intentions clear on Twitter by stating, “Ah Dana, December it is! Let’s end the year with a bang! I’m heading to altitude next month to train. DECEMBER! Let Dana and UFC know, we want December! We deserve December!”
McGregor has been inactive since July 2021 when he suffered a leg injury during a fight with Dustin Poirier. Despite a planned bout with Michael Chandler in early 2023, McGregor had to pull out due to a toe injury. It is not clear whether his delay in returning to the octagon is due to his previous injury or other factors.
Chandler, on the other hand, has shown interest in facing McGregor, but he hinted at possibly considering another fight instead. His last fight was in November 2022, where he lost to Dustin Poirier.
