Conor McGregor is determined to achieve excellence in his return to the UFC. In a recent development, McGregor had to withdraw from his upcoming bout against Michael Chandler at UFC 303 due to a broken toe. While facing backlash from fans and peers, McGregor stood by his choice to step back. Instead of competing, he chose to attend Bellator Dublin to show support for his friend Sinead Kavanagh, who unfortunately lost her fight. In a subsequent interview, McGregor emphasized the importance of preparing adequately and ensuring he is in optimal condition without any injuries before stepping into the octagon. He admitted that the toe injury is quite painful compared to his previous leg injury but highlighted that it requires a shorter recovery period. McGregor is optimistic about rescheduling his fight with Chandler for either the late summer or early fall, as he continues to focus on his training camp and physical wellness.
