The ongoing saga of Conor McGregor’s return to the Octagon continues.
Initially, McGregor was scheduled to fight at UFC 296 at Madison Square Garden in late 2023. When that didn’t happen, there were rumors that he would headline the next major UFC event on April 13th. However, with the event only eight weeks away, it seems less likely now. UFC 300.
On New Year’s Day, McGregor hinted at his return during the International Fight Week in Las Vegas on June 29th. However, UFC CEO Dana White has stated that McGregor’s “biggest comeback in mixed martial arts history” is likely to happen in the fall of 2024.
