Cris Cyborg has alleged that Kayla Harrison turned down a potential fight between them.
The Bellator women’s featherweight champion made the claim on Wednesday, accusing Harrison of declining an offer from PFL.
“@PeteMurray I am disappointed to hear that after PFL offered me the date and location of a match with @KaylaH and we accepted the match, she declined the offer.” written by cyborg.
Harrison did not immediately respond to MMA Junkie’s request for comment.

This is the latest of many public disputes between Cyborg and Harrison over the years. Cyborg, widely regarded as the best female featherweight in MMA history, has been associated with Harrison as she excelled in her transition from Olympic judo to MMA and won the PFL lightweight title twice. Their relationship has been highlighted.
Despite being under contract with different promotions, the possibility of a matchup became more likely after PFL acquired Bellator in November.
Cyborg’s allegations followed the 2023 PFL Championship on November 24th, when PFL founder Don Davis revealed that 2023 PFL Women’s Featherweight Champion Larissa Pacheco intends to fight Cyborg rather than Harrison. This contradicts previous comments.
