Curtis Blaydes is regrouping after experiencing a setback in his recent fight. The heavyweight fighter was defeated by Tom Aspinall via a first-round knockout during their interim title bout at UFC 304. This loss marks Blaydes’ second first-round knockout defeat in his last three fights.

Following the match, Blaydes took to his Instagram Stories to address his defeat. He expressed his disappointment and admitted that he didn’t stick to the game plan outlined by his coaches. Despite the loss, he thanked his fans for their support and emphasized that this setback does not mark the end of his fighting career.

At 33 years old, Blaydes is currently ranked as the No. 4 heavyweight fighter by MMA Fighting. Throughout his UFC career, which began in 2016, he has secured 13 victories in 19 fights. Some of his notable wins include triumphs over opponents such as Jailton Almeida, Alexander Volkov, and Jairzinho Rozenstruik.
