The UFC is achieving new records with each event, and for UFC 303, a significant milestone has been reached.

The upcoming event on June 29 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, headlined by Conor McGregor’s return against Michael Chandler in a welterweight bout, is expected to generate over $20 million in live gate revenue.

Following the release of ticket prices and the subsequent ticket sales, there has been speculation that UFC 303 will surpass the current UFC live gate record of $17.7 million set at UFC 205 in November 2016 in New York.

Notably, Conor McGregor headlined the UFC 205 event where he claimed the lightweight belt from Eddie Alvarez via a second-round knockout. McGregor’s return after almost three years of absence has already led to a substantial financial success, confirmed by UFC CEO Dana White.

“The revenue has already exceeded $20 million,” shared White during a post-fight news conference in St. Louis after UFC on ESPN 56.

While boxing has seen many $20 million gates in its history, UFC 303 will mark a historic moment for MMA. Despite criticism from boxing promoter Stephen Espinoza in the past for not achieving this feat, White remains focused on the success rather than external opinions.

“Who cares about Espinoza’s opinion?” said White. “Is Espinoza even relevant anymore?”
