Dana White is presently not putting Conor McGregor at the forefront of his priorities. It has been more than three years since McGregor’s last fight at UFC 264, where he endured a leg injury. McGregor was slated to make a comeback in June at UFC 303, however, he had to pull out due to a broken toe. McGregor is looking to step back into the ring before the conclusion of 2024, but the exact date remains uncertain.
During a recent interview with TNT Sports, White was questioned about McGregor’s return, to which he ambiguously replied that he is not engaging in discussions regarding McGregor’s comeback at this time. Despite White’s apparent lack of enthusiasm, McGregor is hopeful to make his return in December.
White has verified a match between Jon Jones and Stipe Miocic for November, but there are rumors circulating that McGregor might face Michael Chandler in December. McGregor himself has teased this possibility on social media. In the meantime, McGregor is keeping occupied by participating in motorcycle rallies and sidestepping distractions.
