Daniel Cormier is uncertain about whether Jorge Masvidal should return to the world of MMA. Masvidal, who held the title of ‘BMF’ champion, decided to step away from the sport in April 2023 following a defeat to Gilbert Burns. However, he made a brief return in July for a boxing bout against Nate Diaz. Despite not emerging victorious, Masvidal revealed his intention to rejoin the UFC soon.

Cormier recognizes Masvidal’s journey to fame, especially with notable wins over Darren Till and Ben Askren in 2019. Nevertheless, given Masvidal’s recent string of losses in MMA and his age, Cormier is skeptical about whether Masvidal still captivates the audience’s interest.

While Masvidal is willing to step into the octagon against anyone for the right price, Cormier questions whether fans remain invested in Masvidal’s fighting career. He concedes that he would tune in to watch a Masvidal fight but expresses a desire for an engaging and competitive matchup should Masvidal indeed stage a comeback down the road.
