During the upcoming AEW All In pay-per-view, the TNT Championship will be up for grabs as Jack Perry defends it against Darby Allin in a Coffin Match.

In an interview with “105.3 The Fan,” Allin talked about the lead-up to the match, discussing how his view of Perry over the years and their different paths have played a role in building the rivalry.

Allin mentioned, “Jack Perry has been with AEW from the start just like me, but his journey was much smoother. He’s close friends with The Elite who run the company, so for Jack, it was easier to get hired here. He didn’t have to face the same challenges I did.”

When Allin first heard about Perry joining AEW in 2019 with the Jungle Boy gimmick, he was puzzled. He acknowledged Perry’s character transformation since joining The Elite but raised questions about his visibility on-screen, pointing to AEW’s focus on Arlington, Texas. He also explained the significance of their upcoming Coffin Match.

Explaining why they are having a Coffin Match, Allin said, “I’ve already pushed the boundaries with this guy, going as far as setting him on fire and having a brutal cage match. So, a regular match won’t cut it. We had to escalate to the Coffin Match, the ultimate showdown.”
