Dave Allen Offers Unexpected Perspective on Dubois-Parker Fight: “His Power Is Unreal”

Dave Allen, a British heavyweight boxer, has changed his prediction for the upcoming IBF Heavyweight World Championship fight between Daniel Dubois and Joseph Parker. The bout is set for February.

Allen initially thought Parker would win on points. But after considering Dubois’ recent performances, he’s had a change of heart.

In an interview with iFL TV, Allen said: "I can see Parker beating him on points. Dubois is getting bigger and stronger all the time. Dubois is a different kettle of fish now to years ago. I used to look at Dubois and go he’s a bit chinny, he’s got some quit in him, but he’s not any more, he’s walked through Miller, he’s walked through Hrgovic, he’s walked through Joshua."

Dubois, nicknamed ‘DDD’, has been on a tear lately. In December, he stopped Jarrell Miller in the final seconds of their ten-round fight. He followed that up with a stoppage win over Fillip Hrgovic in June, which led to him being elevated to full IBF champion.

But it was his September knockout of Anthony Joshua in the fifth round that really turned heads. It’s widely considered Dubois’ best win to date.

Parker, a former WBO World Champion, has also been impressive. He’s coming off point victories against both Deontay Wilder and Zhilei Zhang.

Allen, who has sparred with many top heavyweights including Dubois, knows a thing or two about the division. He’s gearing up for his own fight this weekend against Johnny Fisher, known as ‘The Romford Bull’, on the undercard of Tyson Fury’s rematch with Usyk.

The Dubois-Parker fight promises to be an exciting clash between two of the division’s top contenders. With both fighters in top form, it’s anyone’s guess who’ll come out on top.
