UFC on ESPN 63 took place Saturday in Tampa, Florida, and resulted in significant movement within the USA TODAY Sports/MMA Junkie rankings.

Most notably, main event victor Joaquin Buckley (21-6 MMA, 11-4 UFC) switched places in the welterweight rankings with Colby Covington (17-5 MMA, 12-5 UFC), a multitime UFC title challenger whom he defeated via a stoppage due to a cut. Buckley advances to No. 5, while Covington drops to No. 10.

Additionally, a major victory for Manel Kape (20-7 MMA, 6-3 UFC) propels him into the No. 6 position in the flyweight rankings. This follows his TKO win over Bruno Silva (14-6-2 MMA, 4-3 UFC).

Wins from Daniel Marcos, Miranda Maverick, and Invicta FC’s Jennifer Maia also influenced the rankings.
