Deiveson Figueiredo believes he deserves the next shot at UFC bantamweight champion Merab Dvalishvili. Having maintained an undefeated record in the 135-pound division with victories over notable fighters such as Rob Font, Cody Garbrandt, and Marlon Vera, Figueiredo attended UFC 306 to witness Dvalishvili’s win over Sean O’Malley and was acknowledged by the champion during the post-fight press conference.

Dvalishvili expressed that Figueiredo is more deserving of the title shot than the top contender Umar Nurmagomedov, emphasizing Figueiredo’s achievements and experience inside the octagon. Figueiredo, echoing the champion’s sentiments, believes Nurmagomedov has yet to prove himself against the elite competitors in the division.

On the whole, Figueiredo exudes confidence in his skills and is eager to vie for the bantamweight title against Dvalishvili.
