Stanislav Stepchuk, a team member of Oleksandr Usyk who was head-butted by John Fury, Tyson Fury’s father, explained that he chose not to retaliate considering John’s age.
John Fury allegedly approached Stepchuk and head-butted him without any apparent reason, simply because Stepchuk was supporting Usyk by chanting his name.
Stepchuk expressed concern about John’s health at 59, fearing a potential heart attack if a physical confrontation ensued, necessitating medical attention. He stressed that his actions did not justify the aggression from John Fury.
Opting for a peaceful approach, Stepchuk decided not to escalate the situation with John Fury, avoiding a potential altercation with the elder man.

Stepchuk Maintains Commitment to Peaceful Resolution
“He should avoid physical altercations due to the risks of potential health complications. It’s essential for his well-being not to engage in fights that could lead to medical emergencies,” Stepchuk emphasized.
Stepchuk refrained from retaliating against John Fury to prevent any disruption to the upcoming Fury-Usyk fight on Saturday. It is hoped that Tyson will take precautions to prevent John from provoking further incidents with Usyk’s team members.
“It wouldn’t have been fair. The bigger they are, the harder they fall,” Stepchuk justified his decision not to retaliate against John Fury after the head-butt.
