Diego Pacheco, an up-and-coming super middleweight fighter, sought to make a strong impression on Saturday night during a 12-round showdown against Maciej Sulecki in Southern California. With an undefeated record of 21-0, Pacheco was the star of the show. Sulecki, boasting a record of 32-2, aimed to pull off an upset in front of the DAZN cameras on a relatively quiet weekend in boxing.

Right from the start, Sulecki displayed aggression with a tight defense, but Pacheco effectively countered with his long jab. In the second round, Sulecki continued to press forward aggressively, yet Pacheco controlled the round with his precise jab. By the third round, Pacheco appeared to nullify Sulecki’s assaults with his speed and accuracy. Nevertheless, Sulecki managed to trade punches with Pacheco by the round’s end.

The fourth round was intense and evenly matched, with both fighters giving their all. The fifth round remained tight until Pacheco stunned Sulecki. Pacheco came close to finishing Sulecki before the bell, showcasing his dominance. In the sixth round, a devastating body shot from Pacheco knocked Sulecki down for the first time in his career.

Following the fight, Pacheco expressed his contentment, saying, “He came to battle; he came to win; but like I said he never encountered anyone quite like me before.” While a showdown with current super middleweight champion Canelo Alvarez might not be on the horizon just yet, Pacheco expressed his readiness to take on anyone in the top ten rankings. At present, the young fighter from California was savoring his recent triumph, expressing gratitude to the fans for their support.
