Dillian Whyte has shared his thoughts on Joseph Parker’s upcoming world title fight against Daniel Dubois. Whyte, who fought Parker in 2018, offers a unique perspective on the February 22, 2025 bout.

Parker’s recent performances have turned heads in the boxing world. He scored a points win over Deontay Wilder last December, neutralizing Wilder’s famous right hand. He followed that up with another points victory against Zhilei Zhang in March, marking his best two wins to date in the last 12 months.

Now, Parker is set to face IBF world champion Daniel Dubois. The fight will be part of a huge card that also features the Artur Beterbiev vs Dmitry Bivol rematch.

Whyte, who beat Parker by unanimous decision in 2018, spoke to YouTube about the upcoming fight. He pointed out a key factor that could influence the outcome: “That’s a crazy fight, it just depends on how much damage the Zhang fight done to Parker. ‘Cause he got a few heavy knockdowns and there were some clubbing shots to the back of his head and his ears.”

Whyte also compared Parker to Anthony Joshua, noting some differences in their styles: “Parker is not like ‘AJ,’ Parker’s feet are slower than ‘AJ.’ He’s got quicker hands, but he’s more defensively sound.”

Despite Whyte’s concerns, Parker seems confident. He recently declared that he’ll be the new world champion after the fight on February 22, 2025.

As for Whyte, he’s not sitting idle. He’s got his own fight coming up on December 15 this year, a 10-round heavyweight bout against Ebenezer Tetteh.

The all-action bout between Whyte and Parker in 2018 saw Whyte land the better shots and even knock Parker down in the 9th round. This experience gives weight to Whyte’s analysis of Parker’s capabilities.

As the boxing world looks forward to the Parker vs Dubois showdown, Whyte’s insights offer an intriguing perspective on what fans might expect from this world title fight.
