Dricus Du Plessis thinks that Israel Adesanya didn’t throw as many strikes as he could have during his fight with Sean Strickland. Adesanya faced a defeat against Strickland at UFC 293, where he had a slow start and couldn’t keep up with the pace for the rest of the match. Du Plessis initially thought Adesanya was just having an off night, but his opinion changed after going up against Strickland himself and winning to claim the championship title at UFC 297.

Du Plessis observed that Adesanya found it difficult to connect with his punches against Strickland due to Strickland’s defensive abilities. Du Plessis, who will be defending his title against Adesanya in Perth, Australia at UFC 305, pointed out that Adesanya’s precise striking technique didn’t prove effective against Strickland, who is strong in defense.
