Eddie Alvarez has shared his thoughts on Sean Strickland’s recent comments regarding fighter pay in the UFC. Strickland, a former UFC middleweight champion, had expressed his concerns about how fighters are compensated in the bare-knuckle boxing promotion BKFC. In a recent appearance on The MMA Hour, Alvarez, who had a recent fight with BKFC and came to the promotion’s defense, pointed out that Strickland might not fully appreciate his own value compared to others in the fight game.

Alvarez, a former champion in UFC and Bellator with a long and successful career in combat sports, suggested that Strickland should reassess his value. He highlighted the progress BKFC has made in recent years, with notable former UFC fighters like Mike Perry and Conor McGregor getting involved with the promotion.

Alvarez stated that BKFC is now one of the top three promotions, alongside the UFC, for fighters looking to boost their visibility. He mentioned the strong viewership numbers for BKFC content and encouraged fighters to consider the potential advantages of competing in the promotion.
