2024 has been a breakout year for Edgard Plazaola in the BKFC Squared Circle.

At BKFC on DAZN: Hollywood on December 21, Plazaola is set to aim for 4-0 with his third stoppage victory since February. The Nicaraguan-born Miami featherweight will face Alex Castro at the iconic Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, FL, with the event being broadcasted live worldwide on DAZN.

“My opponent is very strong, but I have an advantage with my reach, so I want to keep this fight very technical,” Plazaola says. “I see myself getting the finish in the second or third round.”

Plazaola isn’t overlooking Castro, but he aspires to add another striking finish to his already impressive highlight reel, hoping to enter 2025 ranked in the Top 5 of BKFC’s competitive featherweight division.

“My ultimate goal is to win the belt with BKFC, so I’ll take out anybody that’s put in front of me,” he states. “After this win, I’ll be 4-0 with four finishes and should be viewed as a top contender in the division.”

Does “The Dream Killer” envision the BKFC World Featherweight Championship belt around his waist in 2025?

“Absolutely. Absolutely,” he responds emphatically.

“When I first signed with BKFC in 2022, I said I’d be the World Champion in 2025, and I believe that’s definitely going to happen.”
