Could TJ Dillashaw be gearing up for a comeback in the UFC?

Following a serious shoulder injury sustained during his UFC 280 bout with Aljamain Sterling, TJ Dillashaw appeared to be facing the end of his fighting career. However, in a hopeful update on Instagram, the California fighter shared that his recovery post-surgery is going well and he is looking ahead optimistically.

It’s possible that Dillashaw is merely relieved to be free from pain and limited movement. However, given the sudden decline of his UFC career in recent times, it is conceivable that he is eyeing a return to the Octagon to potentially become the first three-time bantamweight champion in UFC history.

Once hailed as the greatest 135-pound fighter of all time, Dillashaw’s reputation took a hit in March 2019 when he had to vacate the bantamweight title due to adverse findings from USADA and the New York State Athletic Commission following his bout with Henry Cejudo.

Despite facing obstacles, Dillashaw boasts a UFC record of 13 wins and 5 losses, with notable victories over Renan Barao, John Lineker, Cody Garbrandt, and Cory Sandhagen.
