Gabriel Braga has been chosen to take part in the PFL vs. Bellator event, and it’s expected that Aaron Pico will also be part of the event.

Braga, who reached the Season 5 finals, was initially slated to fight Pico, but now he will be facing former Bellator champion Patricio Pitbull, as confirmed by several sources familiar with the promotion’s plans to MMA Fighting. (Via Ag.Fight).

Jesús Pinedo, who was set to fight Braga, has been removed from the event, which left Pitbull without an opponent. The Pitbull vs. Braga match is expected to be the main event of the evening.

The PFL vs. Bellator event will take place at Kingdom Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia and will be aired live on ESPN+ pay-per-view and DAZN on Saturday.

According to a report from MMA Junkie on Monday, Bellator star Pico is expected to remain on the card for a potential rematch with Henry Corrales, who defeated him in a surprising upset under the Bellator banner in 2019. However, the specific matchup has not been confirmed.

Braga will have the chance to go up against Pitbull after suffering a knockout loss to Pinedo in the PFL Season 5 Featherweight Tournament finals. Pitbull joined the PFL after a two-fight losing streak in RIZIN, including a defeat to Chihiro Suzuki and a loss to Bellator bantamweight champion Sergio Pettis.

Pico’s most recent fight in the Bellator cage was in September of this year, when he defeated former featherweight title challenger Pedro Carvalho by TKO.
