Ryan Garcia has reacted to the news of his positive drug test following his victory over Devin Haney in Brooklyn, where traces of Ostarine were found. He denies the findings, calling it a falsehood and urging the New York State Athletic Commission (NYSAC) to examine his “B sample” before passing any judgment.

Regrettably, the analysis of the B sample also confirmed the presence of Ostarine, aligning with the initial results. Boxing journalist Dan Rafael validated this on Twitter, stating that both the A and B samples indicated the banned performance-enhancing drug. The NYSAC is anticipated to arrange a hearing for Garcia during the summer months.

Despite the adverse outcome, Garcia took to Twitter with a positive outlook, even making light-hearted comments about his affinity for steroids and indicating that he is unconcerned if he faces financial repercussions in boxing moving forward. Following the disciplinary hearing, Garcia is likely to confront fines, a suspension, and the probability of his fight against Haney being nullified and declared a “no contest.”
