Oleksandr Usyk defeated Tyson Fury once more in Saudi Arabia on December 21. The Ukrainian celebrated a unanimous decision victory, with all three judges scoring the fight 116-112 in his favor.

This win represents Usyk’s second consecutive triumph over ‘The Gypsy King.’ The fight arrived following their initial bout in May, where Usyk claimed the title of undisputed world heavyweight champion. Previously, he held all the belts at cruiserweight, placing him among the rare two-weight undisputed champions.

Subsequent to that fight, Usyk relinquished the IBF belt to accommodate a rematch with Fury. Daniel Dubois seized the moment, claiming the title by defeating Fillip Hrgovic. Dubois then successfully defended the title in a match against Anthony Joshua in September.

Currently, Dubois has found himself in a challenging situation. Following Usyk’s victory over Fury, Dubois entered the ring to challenge the Ukrainian. This impulsive maneuver did not sit well with fellow heavyweight Dillian Whyte.

Dillian Whyte expressed his opinions to iFL TV:

"Dubois is moving mad. He’s got Joseph Parker to think about. He’s moving mad. He’s lost it. Joseph Parker is not an easy fight. It’s kind of mad cause you’ve got a big dangerous fight coming up, it doesn’t make sense. Listen, right now Dubois is confident and he doesn’t care, he’s moving mad. That’s how guys lose, they overlook people towards bigger fights. Joseph Parker is no slouch, he’s got better in the last few years, he’s improved."

Whyte makes a valid point. Dubois is slated to defend his IBF belt against Joseph Parker in February. This is not a matchup to take lightly, especially considering Dubois was stopped in his initial bout with Usyk.

The Parker fight is part of a major event. The main attraction will see undisputed light heavyweight champion Artur Beterbiev face Dmitry Bivol in a rematch. With such a significant opportunity looming, Dubois might want to concentrate on the immediate challenge ahead.
