Belal Muhammad achieved a significant victory at UFC 304 by defeating Leon Edwards and claiming the Welterweight championship. Muhammad, who comes from Palestine, made history as the first UFC champion from his country. Following the fight, Muhammad shared during the press conference that he was not eager for an immediate rematch with Edwards but would consider offering one in three years. He emphasized the convincing nature of his win and indicated that Edwards would need to earn a rematch. Additionally, Muhammad mentioned his interest in facing competitors like Shavkat Rakhmonov, Jack Della Maddalena, or Ian Garry in future fights.

After the press conference, Muhammad teased Edwards on Instagram by posting a photo of the fight where he had Edwards falling on his head, captioning it as “headshot.” With a current winning streak of 10 fights, Muhammad continues to impress and has not faced defeat since 2019.
