Jeff Hardy has been a game-changer in the wrestling world since the 1990s, known for his daring style that has left a lasting impact. From executing risky moves like leaping off ladders to enduring intense bouts, Hardy’s resilience in TNA Wrestling is nothing short of extraordinary. In a recent interview on “Busted Open Radio,” Hardy shed light on his sources of inspiration, both visually and in the ring.

“Initially, Sting and The Ultimate Warrior were my main influences,” Hardy revealed. “Sting from NWA and Ultimate Warrior from WWE. Their face paint was captivating to me, it was like ‘war paint’ to them, but for me, it was simply cool and intriguing.”

Hardy expressed his desire to evoke the same emotions in others that Sting had stirred in him, especially after experiencing Sting’s performance firsthand at the age of 12 and even touching him during an entrance. This encounter led Hardy to adopt body painting as part of his wrestling persona, a practice he takes pride in as he believes he has elevated it to a new level. As he entered the wrestling industry, new inspirations shaped his evolving style.

“Rey Mysterio and Psicosis’ feud in the original ECW, as well as Jushin Thunder Liger from Japan, significantly influenced my perspective on wrestling,” Hardy shared.
