Reports from the Daily Mail indicate Jermall was let go on a $9,500 bond after being accused of operating a vehicle with a blood alcohol level of 0.15, evading police, and causing property destruction amounting to over $200.
The incident unfolded when Jermall was part of a traffic collision while driving his red Lamborghini Urus. After a dispute with the other driver, Jermall left the scene. Despite authorities’ efforts to halt him, he did not comply and was eventually apprehended. A breathalyzer test confirmed his blood alcohol concentration was 0.15, significantly surpassing the legal limit.
This arrest has come at a critical juncture for Jermall, who was under consideration for a bout against Canelo Alvarez scheduled for September. Nevertheless, this episode could jeopardize his prospects of securing the match. There is speculation that the undefeated top-ranked WBA mandatory challenger Edgar Berlanga could now be a likely contender to face Canelo.
