Post-fight Press Conference Reveal
During the post-fight press conference, Miller clarified his preference for a bout with Matt Brown over Paul Felder.
“Paul and I almost got into a fight in 2015,” Miller mentioned during the press conference (H/T) mixed martial arts martial arts). “I think that fight would be brutal. Me and him were locked in the cage for 15 minutes and I think it was a brutal fight. I think the Matt Brown fight would be great too.”
“I think this is great because, one, he doesn’t have to cut weight. Two, he’s the guy with the most finishes at welterweight, and I think he’s the guy with the most finishes at lightweight,” Miller added. “He’s a guy with a lot of finishes. It’s a fight for [UFC] 300. Let’s put on a show, let’s go out and entertain.”
When asked about the potential match, Miller expressed his readiness for such high-profile events, emphasizing his focus on delivering an entertaining fight rather than climbing the rankings.
On social media, Matt Brown responded positively to the idea. “It’s an honor because I love Jim Miller,” he expressed. The impending battle between the two promises to be an enthralling clash of styles, with Brown favoring striking and Miller being known for his grappling expertise.
Notably, Miller also discussed the possibility of a nickname change to “Jim ‘F******’ Miller” for UFC 300, adding to the excitement surrounding the event.
