Following their spectacular knockouts at UFC 300, Jiri Prochazka and Alex Pereira seem destined for a rematch. Pereira clinched the light heavyweight title from Prochazka in November and defended it against Jamahal Hill. Meanwhile, Prochazka staged a remarkable comeback by defeating Aleksandar Rakic in the standout preliminary bout of the event.

These wins have primed the stage for a potential showdown between Pereira and Prochazka this summer. Prochazka is keen to challenge for the title again and is prepared to step into the octagon as soon as June for a rematch if the UFC greenlights the proposal.

Initially, Pereira was lined up to face Magomed Ankalaev next. However, Pereira is more inclined to take on Prochazka rather than wait until October for the UFC event in Abu Dhabi. Prochazka is also flexible with dates and is open to facing Pereira in August or July and even as early as June should Pereira agree to the bout. Fans and the MMA community are eagerly awaiting the potential rematch between these two dynamic fighters.
