Joe Pyfer had a realization after his initial defeat in the UFC: stay away from reading what people say online. At the recent UFC 303 match, Pyfer claimed his fourth victory by knocking out Marc-Andre Barriault in a quick 85 seconds. Despite the win, Pyfer admitted that he didn’t experience the same level of excitement as before, mainly because of his disappointment with MMA fans.

Pyfer openly shared his frustration with the negative feedback he faced following his loss to Jack Hermansson in February. Speaking on The MMA Hour, Pyfer mentioned that he was disheartened by what he perceived as insincere fans. Nevertheless, he was proud of his performance and the significant earnings he gained from the fight.

Since entering the UFC in 2022 via the Contender Series, Pyfer has made a mark with three knockout victories in his initial three matches. Nonetheless, the defeat to Hermansson was a considerable setback, both professionally and personally, considering the severe criticism from fans.

Pyfer addressed the criticism he encountered, offering his perspective on the match and feeling unfairly treated by fans. He stressed the importance of distancing oneself from negative viewpoints and concentrating on personal development in response to criticism.

After his defeat, Pyfer took a brief training hiatus due to his disappointment with both fans and himself. Yet, in his recent battle against Barriault, Pyfer channeled his frustration and determination to silence his critics.

With a UFC record of 4-1, Pyfer is aiming for a bout against Paul Craig for his upcoming fight.
