Jon Jones has made a firm decision to decline a potential fight against heavyweight champion Tom Aspinall, showing confidence in his own legacy. Jones, a former two-time light heavyweight champion who now holds the heavyweight title, has been inactive since his successful move up to the heavyweight division last year.

Aspinall, the interim champion hailing from Atherton, impressed with a dominant first-round knockout over Curtis Blaydes at UFC 304. Recently, Jones, originally from Rochester, engaged in a verbal altercation with Aspinall on social media, indicating his reluctance to step into the octagon with him.

Jones suggested that he would not give Aspinall the opportunity for a title unification fight and instead, plans to face Miocic in November at Madison Square Garden. Although this decision may be disappointing for Aspinall, Jones remains steadfast in his belief in his legacy and career accomplishments, implying that Aspinall would have to achieve something extraordinary to match his success in the sport.
