Former UFC title contender Jorge Masvidal is preparing to make a return to the octagon, aiming for a comeback fight in April.

After a series of losses in both boxing and UFC matches, Masvidal took a break from retirement to face Nate Diaz but suffered another defeat. Following this, he expressed his desire to return to the UFC and mentioned potential matchups with Conor McGregor, Justin Gaethje, and Leon Edwards.

In a recent podcast, Masvidal confirmed his plans for a UFC return in April, hinting at a possible fight in his hometown of Miami. Although he hasn’t finalized an opponent yet, he expects to have more details by December.

“I will be back. April next year in the UFC, yes sir,” Masvidal said. “We don’t have an opponent yet. Hopefully, by December, we will get the opponent.”

While the UFC hasn’t officially announced a Miami event for next spring, considering their past visits to the city, it’s likely they may return soon.
