Justin Ibarrola is eager to conclude his standout year with a significant achievement.
This Saturday, the 26-year-old fighter from Delray Beach, FL, aims to extend his record to 6-0, securing his fourth BKFC victory of the year. He is set to face Derek Perez at BKFC on DAZN: Hollywood, hosted at the iconic Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, FL, with the event broadcasted live worldwide on DAZN.
"This is the healthiest and most disciplined I’ve been throughout the year, so I’m feeling fantastic at the moment. I’m eager to get in there and make a statement," Ibarrola says.
He further adds, "I’m feeling sharper, quicker, and stronger than ever before. I’m on the brink of reaching my peak performance."
Facing battle-hardened opponent Perez will present the toughest challenge Ibarrola has encountered so far. Perez, a seasoned BKFC veteran, has competed against former BKFC World Bantamweight Champion Keith Richardson and former BKFC World Bantamweight Championship contender Ryan Reber.
Everyone’s attention will be on the Squared Circle this Saturday for BKFC’s final major event of 2024 on DAZN. Although it’s not expected to be an easy fight, Ibarrola hopes that a significant victory this weekend will help chart his course towards a title run in the competitive BKFC bantamweight division.
"Derek Perez is the type of opponent you face on your path to the title. Defeating him should position me for a title shot," he remarks. "But I’m not aiming to just pose as a Champion; I’m here to become the Champion."
