UFC 306 has had a last-minute change with Kevin Borjas unable to compete in his upcoming fight. Joshua Van will now step in to battle Edgar Chairez in the flyweight division. Chairez, part of the “Noche UFC” event featuring eight Mexican fighters, had a previous fight that ended in a no contest due to a referee mistake. Van, a 22-year-old fighter, is eager to redeem himself after his recent defeat to Charles Johnson in July. The event is scheduled for September 14 at Sphere in Las Vegas, headlined by a bantamweight title clash between Sean O’Malley and Merab Dvalishvili. The co-main event features a women’s flyweight championship trilogy bout between Alexa Grasso and Valentina Shevchenko.
