Kevin Owens Declares Himself the ‘Real WWE Champion’

Kevin Owens did not win the Undisputed WWE Championship at WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event. However, he is calling himself the true champion.

At WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event, Cody Rhodes beat Owens to retain the title. Owens then attacked Rhodes after the match. He got into a confrontation with Triple H and walked away carrying the title.

In a tweet, Kevin Owens wrote that he would be competing in his first matches as “your new, true WWE Champion” at WWE’s upcoming live events. He also edited the promotional picture so that his face was on top of Rhodes’.

Owens previously took to Twitter to comment on attacking Rhodes.

“After getting screwed out of becoming the Undisputed WWE Champion by incompetent referees, Kevin Owens justifiably gets retribution on The American Person with an often imitated, never truly duplicated, PACKAGE PILEDRIVER just moments after Saturday Night’s Main Event goes off the air to send everyone home happy,” Owens wrote.
