Jay White had to give up the AEW Unified World Trios Championship due to an injury that has sidelined him. Despite attempts by Juice Robinson and The Gunns to win back the titles from The Patriarchy, they were unsuccessful, continuing their streak of bad luck. Reports from Fightful Select confirm that White’s injury is real and not part of a storyline setback.

Details about the specifics of White’s injury are still pending, leaving uncertainty about the nature and duration of his absence. White has been out of action since losing to Adam Page in the men’s Owen Hart Tournament semi-final on the June 24 episode of “AEW Collision.”

This recent absence is not the first time White has been missing from AEW TV. Earlier this year, visa issues prohibited his entry into Canada, forcing him to do pre-taped promos. However, he returned in time for the tournament. White officially joined AEW in 2023 after sporadic appearances while he was with NJPW. He has primarily teamed up with the Bang Bang Gang, also known as Bullet Club Gold, engaging in feuds with teams like The Acclaimed and FTR.

White isn’t the only AEW wrestler dealing with injuries recently. Skye Blue also suffered a legitimate injury on the latest episode of “Collision.” The severity of her injury is still unknown, similar to White’s situation.
