Lerato Dlamini and Tomoki Kameda will go head-to-head once again in a rematch scheduled for August 24 at Yamato Arena in Suita, Japan. The bout, officially announced by Kameda Promotions and 3150 FIGHT, will be shown live on ABEMA-TV.
In their previous encounter last October, Dlamini caused a major upset by defeating Kameda, which ended Kameda’s chances of competing for the WBA featherweight title. A planned rematch in March did not materialize, but now the fighters are primed to collide.
The victor in this rematch will earn the right to challenge IBF featherweight champion Luis Alberto Lopez as the mandatory contender. This fight fits in with Lopez’s upcoming title defense against Angelo Leo on August 10.
This will be Dlamini’s third fight away from home in his last four matches, adding to the anticipation surrounding this rematch between these talented boxers.
