For those unfamiliar with the excitement and energy of a high-level boxing match, the grand arrival involves a ceremonial walk through designated areas (such as hotels, arenas, and courtyards) accompanied by flashing lights and enthusiastic fans. It’s an opportunity for the athletes to make a grand entrance.

At 37 years old, Ngannou, who is three years senior to Joshua, caused a stir in the boxing world with his impressive victory over Tyson Fury in Riyadh last October. This win solidified “The Predator,” currently ranked in the WBC heavyweight division, as a notable figure in boxing, dispelling any doubts of being just a novelty act that “AJ” may have thought him to be in early 2023.

The victor of Friday night’s match could potentially face the winner of Tyson Fury vs. Oleksandr Usyk, depending on the outcome of the co-main event featuring Joseph Parker and Zhang Jirayi, both of whom have their sights set on the heavyweight championship.
