Matt Riddle, a former mixed martial artist and current professional wrestler, recently discussed the possibility of returning to MMA following his departure from WWE. He participated in a “Signed by Superstars” live autograph session and was asked about the prospect of re-entering the MMA world. Riddle, known as the “King of Bros,” is currently contracted with New Japan Pro Wrestling and has been in communication with various organizations regarding a potential return to MMA.

Although Riddle acknowledged the potential opportunities in organizations such as the UFC, he emphasized his current focus on wrestling due to the financial and time commitments involved in MMA. Riddle, who has four children, highlighted the significant financial risks and training demands associated with MMA fights, stating that he is prioritizing his wrestling career at present. However, he expressed openness to the possibility of returning to the ring or cage in 2024 if the right opportunity arises.

Riddle’s previous experience in the UFC saw him achieve 8 wins and 3 losses before his release from the organization due to a failed drug test. He also addressed the topic of repairing his relationship with UFC president Dana White, expressing confidence that a reconciliation is feasible and joking about the potential monetary incentives that could arise from a return to MMA competition.
