Mayra Bueno Silva found herself in hot water after showing a strong emotional reaction following her most recent match at UFC 303 held in Las Vegas. During the fight, Silva sustained a cut above her right eye in the second round, which ultimately led to her defeat against Macy Chiasson. In a moment of frustration, Silva scaled the cage wall and exited the octagon, prompting a complaint from the Nevada Athletic Commission.

Initially, there was a concern that Silva might face additional penalties, and $2,500 of her fight earnings were temporarily withheld pending further investigation. However, during a recent Nevada Athletic Commission meeting, it was decided that the withheld amount would serve as Silva’s fine, with no further repercussions other than a payment of $157 for prosecution fees.

Silva has been under the spotlight since February 2023 when her victory over Holly Holm was nullified due to a positive drug test for a banned substance. She explained that the positive test was a result of her prescribed medication for ADHD. Following a suspension, Silva experienced consecutive losses to Raquel Pennington and then to Chiasson, making it her third defeat in a row.
