Conor McGregor’s comeback to the UFC is now uncertain since his expected opponent Michael Chandler is set to face Charles Oliveira in November, leaving McGregor without a fight in sight and feeling excluded.

Although McGregor has been eligible to fight since April 2024, he has struggled to secure a match with the UFC. He revealed that he has undergone multiple tests by Drug Free Sport International and has reached out to Sheikh Turki Alalshikh hoping for support to get back into the octagon.

Following a setback with a broken toe that forced him to miss a scheduled June 29th fight, McGregor is still waiting for another fight to be arranged. He has indicated his readiness to face Chandler after his match with Oliveira if the UFC does not line up a fight for him at a later date.

McGregor has also proposed the possibility of a collaboration between Bare Knuckle and UFC, akin to his existing McGregor Sports & Entertainment and Mayweather Promotions deal, to keep himself occupied in the interim.

While there are two fights remaining on his contract, McGregor emphasized the need for patience and concentration in the face of uncertainty regarding his future fights. He finds himself in a situation similar to Chandler, waiting on the sidelines for the next opportunity to arise.
