Michael Chandler vows to make Conor McGregor retire this summer in upcoming UFC fight

Michael Chandler is determined to change Conor McGregor’s retirement plans in their upcoming fight.

McGregor and Chandler are anticipated to face off in June after McGregor’s recovery from a foot injury. At 35, there are questions about McGregor’s longevity in the sport, but he draws inspiration from older athletes like Mike Tyson continuing to compete in boxing.

“Look at Mike Tyson now, fighting Jake Paul,” McGregor commented. “Even at his age, he continues to compete. It’s a reminder that age doesn’t define your abilities in the sport. When Tyson fought Roy Jones, it was inspiring to see them both in the ring despite their age and retirement histories.”

“Despite any doubts or pressure, I understand the need for rest and reevaluation. I won’t be intimidated by younger competitors in the future,” McGregor emphasized.

Responding to McGregor, Chandler took to social media to warn McGregor that if they fight, he will make McGregor reconsider his retirement plans.

“I consider you family for 93 days…” Chandler responded.

Chandler exudes confidence in his fight with McGregor, believing he will secure a knockout victory that could potentially lead to McGregor retiring.
