Manon Fiorot showcased her prowess in the women’s flyweight division by defeating Erin Blanchfield at UFC on ESPN 54 this past Saturday.
Fiorot (12-1 MMA, 7-0 UFC) continued her winning streak in the Octagon, besting Blanchfield (12-2 MMA, 6-1 UFC) in a dominant unanimous decision victory in the main event at Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, New Jersey.
Usually, this victory would have set Fiorotto on a clear path to the title. However, current champion Alexa Grasso is occupied coaching Valentina Shevchenko on The Ultimate Fighter Season 32 leading up to their scheduled trilogy fight in September, adding complexity to Fiorot’s journey.
Now the question arises: should Fiorotto wait for her title shot or keep active by taking on other contenders? Check out the video above for insights and analysis on Fiorotto’s future post UFC on ESPN 54.
