Hello from Midnight Mania!
UFC 311 is set to be a memorable occasion for the Nurmagomedov family.
Despite the passing of Abdulmanap Nurmagomedov in 2020, the legacy he established continues to flourish. The fighters from Dagestan, now led by Khabib Nurmagomedov, the former Lightweight champion, are achieving significant success on the global stage. Notably, in the 155-pound division, members of the Nurmagomedov team currently hold championship titles in the UFC, Bellator, and PFL.
This highlights their outstanding dominance in the sport.
Khabib’s hectic schedule mirrors this success. At UFC 311, his long-time training partner, Islam Makhachev, will defend his Lightweight title against Arman Tsarukyan. Earlier in the event, Khabib’s cousin, Umar Nurmagomedov, will vie for the Bantamweight title against Merab Dvalishvili. This means Khabib will be in the corner for two fights back-to-back.
Khabib shared his thoughts on social media: “Two title fights at the same time,” he observed. “This might be unprecedented. What an evening awaits me; I just hope I can handle it.”
Khabib has previously acknowledged the pressure of supporting his family members in such high-stakes competitions. While he had considered stepping away from MMA altogether, he found himself drawn back to the sport, often cornering his fighters to guide them to victory.

A friendly reminder that online banter may not reflect reality.
Alexandre Pantoja has built what could be one of the most impressive Flyweight resumes, even if it doesn’t rank that high on a personal list.
It’s worthwhile to keep asking questions about Bryce Mitchell; the answers could be quite entertaining.
What defines a mentally sound fighter? Tank Davis seems to be handling his challenges well—at least in the ring.
