Next weekend (Saturday, December 16, 2023), UFC 296 will take place inside T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. In the co-main event, flyweight kingpin Alexandre Pantoja will look to defend his title for the first time by defeating electric finisher Brandon Roybal. This will be the first flyweight title fight between the two in three years. Like Brandon Moreno or Deiveson Figueiredo.
Or is it? Eurosport’s Marcel Dorff broke the news that Moreno has been named the official backup fighter for the flyweight title fight, so if anything happens to either Moreno or Figueiredo in the next 10 days, “Assassin Baby” will appear again!
Moreno’s last appearance of the summer was against Pantoja, and Pantoja defeated Moreno for the third time (if you count the matchups). ultimate fighter).
