It’s an exciting time in Conor McGregor’s career.
Conor McGregor’s mixed martial arts career is in limbo as his scheduled fight against Michael Chandler is uncertain. Although he is back in the drug testing pool, there is no evidence of his return at UFC 300 or the recently announced June date.
On the other hand, McGregor’s acting career seems to be thriving. McGregor co-stars with Jake Gyllenhaal in a remake of the 1989 classic action movie Road House, and the first trailer was released on Thursday, January 25, 2024. McGregor initially claimed to be the “highest-paid first-time actor” of all time, before deleting the tweet.
McGregor wrote on Twitter, “Hey guys, what did you think of the trailer for my acting debut? One hell of a ride! I’m now on record as the highest-paid debut actor of all time, ahead of Dwayne Johnson. I can’t believe it! Was it worth it? Did the production company make a sound investment? Let us know in the comments. Roadhouse is trending like wildfire!”
Discussing the excitement for the movie, McGregor said, “There are a lot of dedicated cult fans of the original, and I’m one of them, and they say they’re really excited to see this movie. We’re thrilled to see everyone’s praise and excitement for this movie. I was very happy. We worked hard. Really! I did all the stunts myself. I was thrown out of a speeding boat in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean and dragged underwater holding on to the anchor. There are some crazy stunts I did. The movie is wild action! I’m glad the trailer is out. I can’t wait to take her home! The world tour is about to start.”
The film will be available to watch on Amazon Prime (not in theaters) on March 21st.
